Raised in a small East Texas town by Pentecostal pastor parents, I grew up a weird, nerdy kid who somehow knew every Bible verse and every “Star Wars” quote. I spent eight years in the Marine Corps, jumped into Christian music like a Pentecostal Justin Bieber, toured the country, then finally settled down to be a husband, dad, and pursue my real passion: comedy. Now, just three years in, my career keeps taking off—proof that even a church kid with questionable life choices can accidentally land in the right spot.
