Sandra Risser is smart, funny, and older than Twinkies. She’s eccentric, not crazy, drives in the fast lane, and can still bench press 500 grams. She believes in the tooth fairy, clean underwear, and Santa Claus.
During the past 24+ years, she progressed from beginner to feature to headline at comedy clubs, casinos, and other venues throughout the United States. Her performances include one woman shows in the Edinburgh, Scotland; Brighton, England; and Santa Cruz, CA Fringe Festivals. In 2019, she took 2nd place in the US Comedy Contest Headline Division and in 2022, she finished 1st in the Funniest Comic in the Valley competition, 2nd in The World Series of Comedy in Sarasota, and 3rd in the World Series of Comedy in Atlanta, receiving the only standing ovations in each. It has been her pleasure to feature for national touring comedians such as Rocky LaPorte, Chris Kattan, Mike E. Winfield, Paul Ogata, and Grant Lyon. She was also honored to be named one of the six Bay area comedians to be sure to see by the San Francisco Chronicle.
Today, based in Phoenix, she continues to travel and entertain audiences with my unique humor.
