Eli Newell is a Los Angeles-based comedian, host, and producer with roots at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and LA. He can be seen regularly at clubs, festivals, and indie shows, including a recent Don’t Tell Comedy showcase. He is the creator and host of Blind Date Live, a live blind-dating comedy show at UCB.
After almost dying at his wedding, Eli’s standup shifted toward marriage, mortality, and the strange clarity that comes from a life interrupted. His material also draws from a lifetime of world travel and questionable decisions.
In a previous life, Eli was on shows like Key & Peele, Delocated (Adult Swim), both Children’s Hospital AND General Hospital, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live and more.
Most importantly, Eli organizes and emcees the Firecracker Wiener Nationals, a charity wiener dog race held every Fourth of July on the Oregon coast.
