Bruce Purcell is an internationally touring comedian whose high-energy style has entertained audiences across the United States, Australia, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, and beyond. Before stepping fully into stand-up, Bruce built an extensive career in professional wrestling, where he worked as an in-ring performer, ring announcer, color commentator, showrunner, and writer—bringing a unique storytelling perspective and larger-than-life stage presence to his comedy.
Over the years, Bruce has performed as a headliner, feature, and host at clubs and festivals around the world. His credits include being the No. 1 pick at the 2010 WWE OVW Tryout, appearing on TNA Wrestling, MTV’s Real World, Mystery Diners on the Food Network, and Pleeze Believe on The Vegas Channel. In 2012, he became the first American to provide color commentary for NHPW in Perth, Australia, and later headlined the Shanghai Comedy Club in 2017.
Bruce also wrote and directed the web series Working With an Ol Head and has been recognized as a semifinalist in the 2022 Kenan Thompson Ultimate Comedy Experience. He has also been featured at the Northwest Black Comedy Festival in both 2022 and 2023.
