Alexa Loftus is a writer, comedian, and filmmaker from the wild woods of Southern Illinois. Her love of TV and film began at her hometown video store that was circus themed and run by clowns. While that store met an untimely end, her passion for the art form endured. She is a four-time WGA Award nominee, and has written for The Problem with Jon Stewart on Apple TV+, Throwing Shade on TVLand, and McSweeney’s. You can see her perform stand up all over the country, in which she often explores the absurdities of her hometown (which is currently being overrun by beavers) and the questionable choices she’s made (trying beaver meat).
