Bernice Ye, known as the “Jackie Chan of Comedy,” is a dynamic comedian, rapper, actor, and martial artist. Born and raised in China, she holds B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Peking University and Purdue University. Bernice began performing stand-up comedy in 2018 and went full-time in 2021 after a thriving tech career at Microsoft and Hulu.
She was recently selected for the prestigious Just For Laughs New Faces showcase in Los Angeles, is currently touring with comedian Joe Wong. Bernice has toured the West Coast in an RV, been featured in The Wall Street Journal, and her comedy has amassed over 70 million views on social media platforms. She’s performed at prestigious festivals such as New York Comedy Festival, GeekFest West Expo, Best of The Fest at Burbank Comedy Festival, San Diego Comedy Festival, and won accolades like “The Funniest MF in Washington” and a Grant for Artist Progress from the Washington State Artist Trust. In 2024, she headlined a string of sold-out shows in Singapore, further expanding her international appeal.
Her award-winning comedy rap Asian Chicken Salad was followed by Naturalization Test, Free Trial Jesus, and her latest release BOBA (Tyrant of Boobs). Her musical comedy has been streamed in over 68 countries and seamlessly blends into her live stand-up sets.
