The Gwynn Factor is a vibrant and engaging comedienne born and raised in Illinois, but based out of Washington, D.C. Her comedy is an examination of life the way “she” sees it, and her adventurous, observational style of storytelling makes audiences across the country feel they have known her, her entire life.
Always known for her quick wit and sense of humor, she decided to pursue her passion to make others laugh after she won her battle with breast cancer in 2019. She caught the comedy bug after performing at a local comedy show and there has been no stopping her. Even a pandemic couldn’t stop her determination to entertain the world. In early 2021, she created, wrote, performed, and produced her own one-hour Mother’s Day comedy show entitled, “It’s a Mutha Being a Mother©,” professionally filmed live in her backyard and available on Sharezo.com. She is the 2022 Season 1 winner of “That Ain’t It” Comedy Competition and the host of a tv cooking show, “Munchin’ and Lunchin’ with The Gwynn Factor” both airing on Alley Oop Television. She also featured in the 2022 movie, “Da Lot – A DMV Comedy;” and co-starred in the 2023 movie “Da Kickback,” both airing on Tubi; in addition to winning “Best of the Fest” in 2024, and producing/hosting her own comedy show “M.I.L.F: Make It Laugh Forever” for the 2025 and 2026 Black Women in Comedy Laff Festival in New York City.
She is undisputedly one of the funniest rising comedians who tours regularly with the Legendary George Wallace and has had stellar performances across the country performing with comedians Correy Bell, Rita Brent, Michael Colyar, Melanie Camacho, Joe Clair, Red Grant, Just Nesh, Rodney Perry, George Willborn, Damon Williams, and Tony Woods. She has performed at the legendary Apollo Theater, NYC; the historic Yuk Yuk’s, Toronto, Canada; Madrid Comedy Lab, Madrid, Spain; Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club, Las Vegas, and various Improvs, Funny Bone, Helium, and Comedy Zone’s across the country.
