Matthew McCoy is a San Francisco-based stand-up comedian whose comedy lives at the intersection of queer identity, Bay Area culture, and the absurdity of everyday adult life. A graduate of the Punchline Comedy Club’s stand-up program and a featured performer at its showcase, Matthew has built his voice through hundreds of stage hours across the San Francisco comedy and theater scene.
With a theater degree at the foundation, his sets are precise, physical, and fully committed; with a point of view that’s unmistakably his own. Off stage, he stays deeply rooted in San Francisco’s Castro community as a weekly DJ at The Edge, one of the city’s most iconic queer venues, where he reads a room for a living.
