I was born in a small village in India and I haven’t stopped making it everybody’s problem. I moved to the US to be the ideal educated tech employee who is slowly losing her mind paying tax to American capitalism. On my way to the asylum. I stumbled first – in improv, stand-up comedy and then sketch comedy. I love comedy because here it feels like I can truly be myself outside of the shrink house.
my style of comedy is alt sarcastic, and sometimes dark because patriarchy did a number on me. Growing up in a village and also in a – the daily juxtaposition is a big part of my comedic material. Also, my great grandpa Work FOR the British colonizers, so I constantly feel the need to keep foreigners entertained
I have performed stand-up comedy in Singapore, India, Los Angeles, and now I live and perform in Bay Area. But I was a semi finalist in the rooster T feathers and I regularly headline a lot of local comedy showcases. I also perform comedy in Hindi – English, as well as in my native language of Marathi.
I would love the opportunity to be a part of your competition, test out my material for its robustness because I get a big high from getting big laughs from my audience. And I would like to continue this addiction. I would also love to network with other comics be inspired from their journey, and hopefully work collaboratively in the future. Stand up, sometimes feels like a cult, and I would like to know other members.
